There is a funny story my friend told me. no matter it is true or fiction, I post this story just for fun.
One evening, my friend who was a guard was on duty that time. A police said there had a drunken man in his store. Then my friend brought the man to the police station. When the man was brought to the police station, he used his cell phone and hit his head continuously. So, the policeman had to close his cell phone and told me to look after it. “This is a magical machine,” my friend said, “There are nine speakers when he saw the phone!” It is a horrid thing that was continuously phone calls to this magical cell phone. The phone ringed a song with strange tones that at least 100 decibels. It is so large noise that even covered the general voice. He was going to call back, but the caller also a drunk and could not communicate with. He wanted to shutdown the phone, surprising, he need a password to shut it down. Then my friend wanted it shutdown when the power of the phone went out off. However, the phone continuously ringed for about two hours and it was still with a full power.
My friend had to pull out the battery that the phone should did not work any more. However, a second later, he found that it was a big mistake for the decision. When he pulled out the battery, the cell phone began to ring a warning sound. “The warning may cover the sound of a placeman car!” he said, “How magical the cell phone it is, I don’t know what is the magical power that make this phone ringing with out the battery.” Therefore, he had to putted the battery back and continued to listen the strange song again, for the song was better than a warning sound.
About 5 hours later, my friend busted into tears when he saw the owner of the phone came back with sober to pick up his cell phone.

Reading Week

During this reading week, I have spent 5 nights and 4 days on the trip of Vancouver with my friends. Actually, we planed to have a 3 nights and 2 days trip. We had to change our plan for this journey. It's the first time we went and saw a big city when I study aboard. Though the trip to Vancouver cost a long time and made everybody of us tried, we still felt excite when we arrived our destination. After finding out a place for staying in, we made an exhaustive schedule for our trip. In the first day of this tour, everything went well and we bought many thing. However, schedule always can not cache up the changes. In the rest of days, we woke up very late every day, almost at 12:00 am, so we miss a lot of day time to see the sightseeing and other intrusting. It is funny that we made the decision that we should had woke up earlier next day, but no one can do that. That is why we had to extend the time for our trip.
When we came back here, we felt tire. Although we already knew that there would be a reading mid-term exam after the rest two days, what our wanted to do in that time are just sleeping (uh….sleep again….). At last, I had to review my reading course in the last evening of reading week. The result was easy to expect, I got a low mark. Uh, what a laze reading week….

The Different between Learning in China and Other Country

In 1890s, the system of westen education spreaded into my cuntry, and the gavernment began to be concerned with the quality of education. With the develop of university for about one hundred years, universities in China have a comparatively consummate patten of education. There are academic creditsystem, the hight level of specialization in different subject. Such features are the same as most of westen university. Though sterned fronwesten country, university education in China have some different features from others.
In the first place, every student, no matter what the major is, have to learn about philsophy in every semester. Those couses are very boring and relativeless with the major of most students, but we have to study them in every semester. Generally, students should pass the exam of Marxist Philsophy, The thought of Chair Mao, Deng Xiaoping Theory, etc, or the student could not be admited to acquire a degree and graduation certificate. In contrast, university in other country would not require student to learn those boring couses.
In the second place, English is an obligatory course and Chinese is a elective couse in the system of domastic university education.Engish subject play an impartent role in Chinese academic education. The university can admit a student who fail the exam of Chinese subject to graduate rather than the one who fail in English subject. It is ironically to be a Chinese that we do not need to study Chinese but have to study well in English.
Last but not least, domestic universitys more concern about basis subjects, suchu as mathematic, statistics and language skill. Many professor believe that students who are good at math and second language will be easy to study well in their major, no matter which they choose.
May be there are lots of differences between domestic university and foreign university that I have not make a distinction. With the study goes on, I will find out more and more another differences.
